Jessica teaches a variety of improv comedy workshops:
Improv Comedy for Teens-Using the tools of improv to help teens listen, find their voice, be confident, and work together for the greater good. This workshop focuses on game based improv exercises that encourage joy and laughter. By the end of the workshop teens have said they feel more in the moment and confident to just "be themselves".
Improv Comedy for Women-Through improv practices and exercises women will come together for a workshop that allows us to be loud and be supported while we are doing it. Improv is about saying YES to ourselves and each other. Through this class we will practice NOT "self editing" or "self sabotaging" in order to fit in. We will say yes to our female cohorts. This is a client favorite.
Improv Comedy for Adults-This is a basic workshop for any adult group. We will play, learn the basics of improv, and practice games that famous comedians know and love. Through this workshop you will come away with a basic understanding of improv and without even trying you will be funny.
Improv Comedy for Actors-Use improv to sharpen your listening skills and land your emotions on your partner. In this workshop we will focus on improv and then use what we learn to apply to a written scene. This workshop is for actors only and you must have experience that meets criteria for the class.
Improv Comedy for Anxiety-If the idea of trying something new frightens you this workshop is perfect for you. In a comforting and supportive environment try some exercises that help you get out of your head and into a safe space of laughter and exploration. We will work on the skill of being in the moment and letting go of what doesn't help us grow.
